BRINKLEY DAVIES

Throw back to one of my favourite shoots to date with my girl crush Brinkley Davies. I remember being petrified the night before this shoot because so much had to go right for it to come together... and I was also super raw with my camera so I was having nightmares about coming home with no shots at all.

In hindsight I should have just realised that you really can't take a bad pic of Brinkley. I mean that FACE, those EYES... that BOD! And her super hunky BF Ty who we roped in for the shoot is not too bad on the eye either.

In the end it was one of those shoots where you come home completely and utterly exhausted but so on top of the world with your dream team that you walk around with a gangster swag like you own the town (or kitchen in my case).

For such a rookie with my little budget Canon SLR I look back on this pics with a bit of pride (which is very rare for me). Back then this was just a look book shoot that served a purpose to sell clothes. Its only now that I am out of that game that I can step back and actually appreciate all the hard work and anxiety that went into this shoot. And it gets me really pumped to do another shoot like this... Brinkley and her perfectly round bum deserve a take two!

LEE AND OLIVIA

When you get asked to help out photographing a friends wedding it a pretty daunting thing. Im not gonna lie, I was petrified! What if I couldn't deliver what they wanted, what if I missed something, what if I missed the first kiss??? I didn't sleep the night before but the next day after seeing just how breath taking Olivia looked I knew I could manage just fine... and a couple of champagnes to take the edge off didn't go astray either.

On a normal day Olivia is a 10 but on her wedding day she left me breathless. She absolutely nailed it. So simple and elegant... and that bod, my god!!! Her bridal party were equally as beautiful, it was seriously like I was backstage at a Victoria Secret's Parade. It was a morning of giggling, sipping on champagne and selfies but when Olivia put on that masterpiece of a dress we all teared up. It was one of those moments.

Before we knew it we were piling into the limo on our way to get hitched. I have two shots that I absolutely love from this day and both are from the limo drive. The first is when I captured Liv taking a little moment to herself and tears started welling in her eyes. The other is when we arrive at the venue and she's about to get out of the car. The excitement in her face is just beautiful.

I have known Lee and Olivia for a long time now so seeing them go from 'we're just friends who hang out heaps' to 'he's officially my boyfie' to 'I do' was very emotional for me. I was so caught up between getting the perfect shot of them but also sitting back and admiring they way they looked at each other with so much love while they exchange their vowels. I was standing in the audience as I took all the ceremony shots but that didn't matter with these two. I could have taken these shots on my iPhone 4 (yes I know I need a new phone) and these photos would have been stunning. You can't fake a love like that.

Oh and the reception photos I have to admit are not my finest work... as I mentioned I was also a guest at the wedding and by this stage I was rather intoxicated. We had the night off from our toddler so my husband found the black Sambuca and I found the vodka's... and the dance floor (and clearly so did Liv).

Lee and Olivia it was my absolute pleasure to photograph your day and I know that yours is a love that will stand the test of time. Bring on genetically blessed babies!
